April 2010 President’s Corner

The month of March has brought the onset of spring, as well as some of the most torrential downpours I’ve personally seen in a while. As the old saying goes, when it rains it pours. March also saw one of Net Impact Boston’s bi-annual New Member Socials on the 3rd at Tavern in the Square. We had a record turnout, as expected, and all attendees had an opportunity to meet and greet with the leadership team and get more information on what Net Impact Boston is all about. I believe the strong attendance indicates that local professionals are interested in what NIB stands for as well as what we’re doing.

That said, I’d also like to note that March saw the matching of two more Board Fellows volunteers to local nonprofits, with 2-3 additional matches pending. It’s been a fantastic month for Net Impact Boston, and I expect the momentum to continue.
