Recap of NIB Trip to George’s Island
Over a dozen Net Impact members and their significant others took George’s Island by storm on Saturday, May 22 for good food and fun. The excellent weather permitted a number of activities including a round-trip boat ride, exploration of the island’s civil war fort, a competitive croquet tournament, a messy egg toss, and last but not least, great food.
Organizer Greg Andeck said after the event, “This is just a taste of outdoor activities to come for Net Impact Boston. Getting people outside is a fantastic way to build new friendships and cement old ones. We’re already planning a hike for later in the summer.”

June 15: Net Impact Summer Happy Hour
Join us for our first gathering in our popular summer happy hour series! Our summer happy hours provide a chance meet some of the many fascinating Net Impact members, and catch up with the folks you have met at previous events. We hope to see you there!

June 1: Zing!…
…is a locally owned pizza shop located in Porter Square! Come join other Net Impact folks on June 1 at 6:30pm for an all-you-can-eat night of pizza and food sustainability insight. The owner of Zing Pizza will be on hand to discuss his experience with running a local business (he also owns Cafe Zing, a coffee shop next to the Shaw’s in Porter Square), and the challenges (and rewards!) of sourcing locally and organically. We’ll get to try many of the different creations available at Zing and hear some of the stories behind the menu, such as, “What do you do when 40 lbs. of Fiddleheads show up in your CSA box…?!” Please RSVP for this event as space is limited!
