Small Group Dinner and Discussion, 11/15
The idea behind the event is to encourage restaurants to make vegetarian food more “fun”, and offer more variety rather than just salads or steamed veggies, which tend to put off people from having vegetarian food. By making it more accessible, fun and tasty, people are more incentivized to increase vegetarian food in their diet and reduce their carbon footprint, while choosing a healthier lifestyle at the same time.
Date: November 15, 2011
Time: 6:30-8:30pm
Location: Lineage Restaurant, 242 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA 02446 (Phone: 617.232.0065)
Cost: $38 pp for a three-course vegetarian dinner
RSVP: events@netimpactboston.org (Seats are limited; Net Impact Members have first priority, but non-members interested in joining Net Impact are also welcome)
And if you really want to know how much of a difference you can make with a vegetarian diet, check out the excellent paper Diet, Energy and Global Warming.
Additionally, the Net Impact Boston Events Committee is seeking new team members. If you are interested, please get in touch with shruthi@netimpactboston.org or yasie@netimpactboston.org.
NIB Advisory Council convened
The Net Impact Boston Advisory Council allows our chapter to retain the institutional knowledge and involvement of members who have demonstrated service, commitment, and continued interest in NIB beyond an active leadership role. The primary purpose of the Council is to provide guidance and counsel to Net Impact Boston on strategic issues. We are happy to announce the following as members of this valuable group: Asheen Phansey, Holly Fowler and Rudy Ruggles.
