Remke van Zadelhoff

Remke is an independent Sustainability Consultant who has worked in finance, strategy and sustainable development for the past 15 years.  She started her career as an investment banker in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and then joined LexisNexis in Washington, DC, focusing on strategy and competitive intelligence.  In 2008, she switched to working in sustainable development. First as Operations Director for a social enterprise start-up in Fair Trade Chocolate and then moving to the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation, where she worked on a range of environmental and social sustainability projects at IFC’s Sustainable Business Advisory unit.  Most recently, Remke completed an MA in Sustainability at Harvard University and will now continue working with companies on sustainable development.

Remke holds an MA in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam.  She serves on the Board of Land’s Sake, a community farm and forestry non-profit in Massachusetts. In her spare time, Remke enjoys photography, skiing, cooking and going on long hikes with her husband and three daughters.
