Emma Morse

HeadshotEmma is passionate about applying market-based solutions to challenges in the social sector. As Senior Specialist within the Investing in Inclusive Finance Practice at Accion, she explores challenges and opportunities at the intersection of commercial investment and financial inclusion. She supports the management of the Africa Board Fellowship, a six-month peer learning and exchange program aimed at strengthening governance of financial institutions in Africa, and the Financial Inclusion Equity Council, a membership organization that convenes private entities that make equity investments in financial inclusion. Previously, Emma worked as a consultant for the United Nations in Uganda on a gender humanitarian assessment, and as a strategy fellow for Sanergy, a social enterprise working to increase access to affordable sanitation in Kenya.

Emma holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University. When not traveling, she loves running along the esplanade, teaching yoga, checking out the newest Cambridge coffee spot or brewery, and experimenting with Ottolenghi recipes in her kitchen, among other urban millennial activities.
